Weekly Astrology for September 20 to 26: Finding Your Balance While Still Going After What You Want

Weekly Astrology

This week brings a noticeable shift in energy. We move from the practical, detail-focused energy of Virgo season into Libra season and the September Equinox, giving us a chance to pause and look at where our lives may feel a little out of balance.

Then, by the end of the week, the Full Moon in Aries brings the focus back to you. After all that consideration of relationships, compromise, and keeping the peace, you may find yourself asking a much simpler question: What do I actually want?

Key Astrology Transits This Week

September 20: Sun in Virgo

We start the week with the Sun still in Virgo, which makes this a good day to get practical about whatever has been sitting in the back of your mind.

Virgo energy can be helpful when you need to clean something up, make a plan, finish a lingering task, or simply get yourself back into a rhythm. But there is a difference between being intentional and becoming overly focused on everything that could be better.

You do not need to have your entire life figured out before you are allowed to enjoy it. Let today be about making small adjustments that actually make your life easier rather than creating another list of things you think you should be doing.

September 21: Moon Enters Aquarius and Mercury Sextiles Jupiter

The Moon enters Aquarius at 10:12 am PT, bringing a little more mental space into the emotional atmosphere. You may feel the need to step back from a situation and look at it differently instead of reacting from the middle of it.

That can be especially helpful if you have been caught up in someone else's expectations or your own assumptions. Sometimes you do not need another answer. You just need enough distance to see the situation clearly.

Later, Mercury sextiles Jupiter at 3:49 pm PT, supporting expansive thinking and more encouraging conversations. This is a nice energy for changing the way you talk to yourself, especially if your inner dialogue has been overly critical lately.

Pay attention to the stories you repeat about what is possible for you. A more supportive perspective does not mean pretending everything is perfect. It means giving yourself enough room to consider that there may be more possibilities than you originally thought.

September 22: September Equinox and Sun Enters Libra

The September Equinox arrives as the Sun enters Libra at 5:05 pm PT, officially beginning Libra season.

The equinox is one of those natural pause points in the year that gives us a chance to check in with ourselves. There is something especially fitting about entering Libra season at a moment associated with balance. Not perfect balance, because honestly, who has that? More like noticing where your life has become a little too tilted in one direction.

Are you giving more than you are receiving? Are you prioritizing everyone else's comfort while ignoring your own? Are you spending so much time trying to make the “right” choice that you are forgetting to ask what actually feels right for you?

Libra energy can bring our attention back to relationships, fairness, harmony, beauty, and the way we relate to the people around us. But healthy harmony does not require you to disappear inside it.

This is a good time to consider what balance looks like when it is actually sustainable.

A Simple Equinox Ritual

The planner suggests a simple ritual for the equinox: clear your space, consciously release stagnant energy, and then bring something fresh and uplifting into the room.

You can keep that idea very simple. Clean a corner of your home. Open a window. Put fresh flowers somewhere you will see them. Light a candle. The point is not to perform a perfect ritual. It is to create a physical reminder that you are making room for something new.

September 23: Moon Enters Pisces

The Moon enters Pisces at 8:21 pm PT, softening the pace a little after the mental activity of the previous days.

Pisces energy tends to make us more sensitive to what is happening beneath the surface. You may find yourself picking up on moods, memories, dreams, or feelings that you normally brush aside when life gets busy.

That does not mean you need to analyze every emotion that comes up. Sometimes feeling something is enough.

Give yourself some room to slow down and notice what your body and intuition are telling you. If you have been pushing through the week on autopilot, this can be a useful reminder that not everything needs an immediate solution.

September 25: Sun Opposes Neptune Rx and Trines Pluto Rx

This is probably the more introspective part of the week.

The Sun opposes Neptune retrograde at 6:36 pm PT, which can make it easier to get carried away by a relationship, experience, expectation, or daydream. You might be seeing something through the lens of what you hope it could become rather than what is actually happening.

That does not mean your dreams are wrong. It just means this is a good moment to separate intuition from projection. Ask yourself what you know, what you assume, and what you simply want to be true.

Later, the Sun trines Pluto retrograde at 10:34 pm PT. This adds a deeper layer of self-awareness and personal transformation. You may become more conscious of an old identity, pattern, or role that no longer fits.

You do not necessarily need to make a huge decision. Sometimes growth starts with admitting, “I don't think I want to keep doing this the way I've been doing it.”

That realization can be enough to start changing things.

September 26: Full Moon in Aries

The Moon enters Aries at 3:19 am PT, and the Full Moon in Aries occurs at 9:49 am PT.

After a week of Libra themes around compromise, connection, and balance, Aries brings the attention right back to the self.

What do you want? What excites you? What have you been waiting for permission to pursue?

Full Moons tend to illuminate whatever has been building beneath the surface, and an Aries Full Moon can bring a stronger desire to act. You may feel more motivated to take a risk, start something, make a decision, or stop waiting for everyone else to agree with you.

The important thing is not to confuse independence with impulsiveness. You can honor your own desires without needing to prove anything.

This is especially powerful when you remember that the Aries Full Moon sits opposite Libra season's emphasis on partnership and consideration. The lesson is not “choose yourself over everyone else.” It is “do not leave yourself out of the equation.”

Want something quick?

One question. Clear guidance. A little reassurance when you need it most. 💫

Theme of the Week: You Are Allowed to Want What You Want

There is a subtle tension running through this entire week between keeping the peace and being honest about what you need.

Libra reminds us that other people matter. Aries reminds us that we matter too.

It sounds simple, but real life makes this complicated. We learn to consider other people's feelings. We learn to be accommodating. We learn how to read the room. Sometimes we become so good at those things that we stop checking in with ourselves.

This week's astrology creates an opportunity to notice where that may be happening.

You can care about someone and still have boundaries. You can compromise without abandoning yourself. You can change your mind. You can want something different from what other people expect from you.

And perhaps most importantly, you do not have to turn every desire into a debate before you allow yourself to acknowledge it.

Sometimes the first step is simply admitting the truth to yourself.

Guidance

This week, try not to rush yourself into having everything figured out.

Use the Virgo energy to clean up what genuinely needs attention. Use Libra season to look honestly at your relationships and commitments. Let the Pisces Moon give you permission to feel without immediately fixing. Then let the Aries Full Moon remind you that your own wants deserve a seat at the table.

If something feels confusing, come back to the facts. If something feels draining, notice that too. If something makes you feel more alive, pay attention.

You do not need to make every choice from a place of certainty. Sometimes you just need to be honest about what you know right now.

Weekly journal prompt about keeping the peace, honesty, and understanding what you truly want

Crystal of the Week: Green Aventurine

Green Aventurine feels like a natural fit for this week's combination of Libra balance and Aries courage. It carries a gentle association with the heart, growth, openness, and moving forward without needing to force everything into place.

This is useful energy for a week when you may be reconsidering how much you give to others versus how much space you leave for yourself. Green Aventurine is not about making every decision perfectly. It can be used as a simple reminder to stay open to possibilities while still honoring your own needs.

Keep it near your workspace, carry it with you, or hold it while journaling around the Full Moon. As you work with it, ask yourself where you are ready to grow and where you are ready to stop making yourself smaller for the sake of keeping everything comfortable.

Tarot Card of the Week: Justice

Justice tarot card representing balance, truth, fairness, and accountability

Justice is a particularly fitting card for a week that begins with the September Equinox and moves into Libra season.

At its core, Justice is about honesty, balance, accountability, and seeing a situation clearly. It is not really about judging yourself or anyone else. It is about being willing to look at what is actually happening and make choices based on that reality.

That connects beautifully with the Sun's opposition to Neptune on September 25. When emotions, hopes, or fantasies make something harder to see clearly, Justice asks you to come back to what is true.

Then the Aries Full Moon adds another layer. Once you know what is true for you, what are you willing to do about it?

Justice reminds us that balance is not always about making everyone happy. Sometimes balance means giving your own truth the same consideration you have been giving everyone else's.

Closing

This week does not need to be about finding the perfect balance.

Maybe it is simply about noticing where your life has become too one sided and making one honest adjustment.

Take care of what needs tending. Make space for what you feel. Be honest about what you want. And when the Aries Full Moon arrives, remember that choosing yourself does not automatically mean choosing against someone else.

Sometimes it simply means remembering that you are part of your own life, too.

Take what resonates, leave what does not, and give yourself permission to move through this week at a pace that actually feels like yours.
