Weekly Astrology Forecast: September 27 to October 3, 2026 | From Taking Up Space to Looking Within

Weekly Astrology Forecast

This week starts with a little more fire and confidence as Mars enters Leo, encouraging us to take up space, follow what excites us, and stop second-guessing every little thing we want. The Taurus Moon then brings us back down to earth, reminding us that rest, comfort, and simple pleasures matter too. There is a nice balance here between going after what you want and actually enjoying where you are.

By the end of the week, though, the energy gets much more introspective. Mercury enters Scorpio, followed by Venus turning retrograde in the same sign, bringing our attention to relationships, desires, values, and patterns we may not have fully understood yet. You do not need to have all the answers right away. This is more about getting honest with yourself about what still feels right, what has changed, and what you may be ready to see differently.

Key Astrology Transits This Week

September 27: Mars Enters Leo

Mars enters Leo at 7:49 PM PT, bringing a noticeable shift in how we pursue what we want.

Mars is action, motivation, desire, and the way we go after things. Leo wants to create, express, play, and be seen. Put those two together and you may find yourself feeling a little more willing to take the lead or finally do something you have been talking yourself out of.

This can be a great energy for creativity and confidence, but there is another side to it. Mars in Leo can make us more sensitive to feeling overlooked or underappreciated.

If you find yourself thinking, "Does anyone even notice what I do?" this week, it might be worth asking whether you actually need external validation or whether you simply need to acknowledge yourself.

There is nothing wrong with wanting to be seen. Just make sure you are not handing someone else the responsibility for deciding whether your efforts matter.

September 28: The Moon Enters Taurus

The Moon enters Taurus at 7:37 AM PT, bringing us back down to earth after Mars's fiery entrance into Leo.

The Moon reaches its exaltation at 2° Taurus, which gives this day a particularly comforting and grounded quality. Taurus reminds us that our bodies have needs too. Food, sleep, physical comfort, nature, music, touch, and simple pleasures can all become more noticeable.

You might find yourself wanting to slow down a little. Let yourself.

Not every productive day has to involve checking ten things off your list. Sometimes getting enough rest and actually enjoying your dinner is productive enough.

This is also lovely energy for nurturing the people you care about. You do not always have to solve someone's problem. Sometimes making them feel safe, cared for, and welcome is more than enough.

The Sun Trines Uranus Retrograde

The Sun trines Uranus retrograde at 9:21 AM PT, adding a little unexpected electricity to the otherwise grounded Taurus energy.

You may suddenly see something differently. A new idea could come out of nowhere, or you might realize that an old expectation simply does not make sense for you anymore.

This transit has a nice rebellious streak to it, but it does not necessarily need to look dramatic.

Maybe you finally admit that you like something everyone else thinks is weird. Maybe you stop pretending you want the traditional version of something. Maybe you realize you have been following a rule that nobody actually asked you to follow.

Let yourself be a little unconventional.

September 30: Mercury Enters Scorpio

Mercury enters Scorpio at 4:47 PM PT, shifting the way we think, communicate, and process information.

Mercury in Scorpio wants to get underneath things. Surface level answers may not feel satisfying anymore. You may want to know what someone really meant, why something happened, or what is actually going on beneath the obvious story.

This can be a really useful transit for research, honest conversations, therapy or self reflection, and asking questions you have been avoiding.

It can also make you more private.

You do not have to explain everything while you are still figuring it out. There is nothing wrong with keeping certain thoughts to yourself until you understand them better.

Just be mindful of the difference between intuition and suspicion. Wanting to understand something is healthy. Assuming there must be a hidden problem everywhere can quickly become exhausting.

October 2: A Lot Is Coming Up at Once

Mercury Squares Mars

Mercury squares Mars at 2:03 AM PT, bringing some heat to our thoughts and conversations.

You may be more impatient than usual, especially if you feel like someone is not listening or if you are trying to get your point across. Words can come out sharper than intended.

If you feel yourself getting pulled into an argument, pause before responding.

Not every disagreement needs to be won. Sometimes the smartest move is to give yourself enough space to figure out what you actually want to say.

The Moon Enters Cancer

The Moon enters Cancer at 12:54 PM PT, bringing a much more sensitive emotional tone to the day.

After the sharper Mercury and Mars energy, this shift can make you more aware of your feelings and your need for emotional safety.

You may want more time at home or around people you trust. You may also find yourself thinking about family, memories, relationships, or things that have made you feel cared for in the past.

Try not to judge yourself for being more sensitive than usual. Sensitivity is information. You can listen to it without letting it run the entire conversation.

Mercury Squares Pluto Retrograde

Mercury squares Pluto retrograde at 1:44 PM PT, taking the day's mental intensity even deeper.

This can bring uncomfortable truths to the surface. A conversation may reveal more than expected, or you might suddenly understand why something has been bothering you.

The important thing here is not to force a revelation.

If something comes up, sit with it. Ask yourself whether it is actually something you need to act on or simply something you need to understand.

There is a difference.

Mars Trines Neptune Retrograde

Mars trines Neptune retrograde at 3:19 PM PT, offering a softer outlet after the intensity earlier in the day.

This is a beautiful reminder that not everything needs to be approached through force.

Follow what inspires you. Make something. Listen to music. Rest. Spend time somewhere that helps you reconnect with yourself.

You may actually get more done by following what genuinely excites you rather than forcing yourself through things that feel completely draining.

October 3: Venus Stations Retrograde in Scorpio

Venus stations retrograde in Scorpio at 12:15 AM PT, beginning a period of deeper reflection around love, relationships, values, pleasure, and what we truly want. You may notice old feelings or relationship patterns coming back into focus, but this does not necessarily mean you need to do anything about them right away.

For now, simply pay attention. What feels different about the way you approach love or connection? What are you realizing about what you value? Venus retrograde gives us time to reconsider these things without needing to have all the answers immediately.

Mars Opposes Pluto Retrograde

Mars opposes Pluto retrograde at 3:39 AM PT, adding some intensity to the day. Power struggles or frustration may surface, especially if you feel like someone is trying to control the situation.

If you find yourself pulled into an ego clash, take a step back before reacting. Sometimes the most useful thing you can do with intense energy is give yourself enough space to figure out what is actually worth your energy.

Theme of the Week: What Do You Actually Want?

This week begins with Mars in Leo asking you to acknowledge your desires, then gradually turns inward as Mercury and Venus move through Scorpio.

That feels significant.

There is a difference between knowing what you want and knowing why you want it.

Maybe you want recognition. But is it recognition itself, or do you want to feel appreciated?

Maybe you want a relationship. But is it companionship you are craving, or reassurance that you are lovable?

Maybe you want more money. But is it really the money, or the freedom and security you associate with having more of it?

Those deeper questions are where this week's astrology gets interesting.

Venus retrograde is not necessarily here to take things away. It can simply help you become more honest about your relationship with desire.

You are allowed to change your mind.

You are allowed to outgrow an old definition of success, love, beauty, or happiness.

And you are allowed to admit that something you once wanted is no longer what you want now.

Guidance for the Week

Do not rush yourself into conclusions this week.

There is a lot of energy around desire, communication, relationships, and deeper emotional patterns, but not everything needs an immediate response.

If you are frustrated, pause.

If you are confused, ask questions.

If something from the past comes up, notice it before deciding what it means.

And if you suddenly realize that you want something different, you do not need to defend that realization to everyone around you.

One of the most useful things you can do during Venus retrograde is pay attention to your patterns without judging yourself for having them.

You are allowed to learn from who you have been without staying there.

Journal prompt asking what you are beginning to understand about love, relationships, pleasure, and life, and what you may be holding onto because it feels familiar.

Crystal of the Week: Rhodonite

Rhodonite feels especially fitting for this week's shift into deeper Venus territory.

It is traditionally associated with emotional healing, compassion, forgiveness, and working through old relationship patterns. That makes it a natural companion for Venus retrograde in Scorpio, particularly as we begin a longer period of looking honestly at how we give and receive love.

Rhodonite is not about forcing yourself to forgive someone or pretending that something did not hurt. Its symbolism is much more grounded than that. It can be a reminder to hold your experiences with honesty and compassion at the same time.

You could keep a piece nearby while journaling during the Venus retrograde period, hold it while reflecting on a relationship pattern, or simply keep it somewhere you will see it regularly.

Let it remind you that looking back does not always mean going backward.

Tarot Card of the Week: Death

Death tarot card showing a skeleton knight on a white horse, symbolising transformation, endings, release, and new beginnings.

Death may sound intense for a week focused on Venus retrograde, but this card actually fits beautifully.

Death is about transformation, endings, release, and the natural process of becoming something different. It does not necessarily represent a literal ending. More often, it asks us to recognize when something has already changed and stop trying to make it what it used to be.

That is very Venus retrograde in Scorpio.

This week may bring awareness around old patterns, relationships, desires, or values that are ready to be reconsidered. The Death card reminds us that not everything needs to be carried forward simply because it once mattered.

There is also something freeing about this card.

You do not have to force yourself to become a completely different person. You can simply stop feeding the parts of your life that no longer feel honest.

Sometimes transformation is less about becoming someone new and more about finally letting go of what was never really you.

Closing

This week has a little bit of everything.

Confidence. Pleasure. Curiosity. Frustration. Emotional honesty. Desire. And eventually, a much deeper look at what we value and why.

You do not have to figure all of it out at once.

Let Mars in Leo remind you that you are allowed to want things. Let Taurus remind you to enjoy the life you already have. Let Mercury in Scorpio help you look beneath the surface. And when Venus turns retrograde, give yourself permission to reconsider what love, connection, beauty, and self-worth actually mean to you now.

You are not supposed to be the same person you were when you made every decision in the past.

Maybe that is the whole point.

Take what resonates, leave what does not, and give yourself some space to notice what is changing. Sometimes the clearest answers show up after we stop trying so hard to find them.
