🏃🏽‍♀️‍➡️What to Do Before the Ritual🧖🏽‍♀️

Start by cleaning and cleansing your space 🧼 — your altar, your room, wherever your sacred spot is. Clean and cleanse it. A fresh space invites clearer energy. Unless you're a chaos witch, of course — then do what works for you. No judgement here! Some folks thrive in a mess because it mirrors the chaos they’re intentionally working with (and no, it’s not about causing chaos for others — unless someone crosses the line… then, well, that’s on them 🤣). Chaos witches, I hope you feel seen. 🥰

Cleanliness doesn’t just feel good — it supports powerful manifestations. Low vibes love clutter and messiness. Before any ritual/spell work/, cleanse yourself physically, spiritually, energetically, and mentally. Start with a clean slate and protection. The next steps will walk you through

Wipe down your altar, clear it with smoke or sound, and make sure the energy feels light and open. Then build your setup however feels aligned. Let your candle take center stage 💛 — it’s the heart of your altar. One candle or many, place them right in the middle. You’ve got this.

If you don’t have an altar yet, that’s totally okay — now’s the perfect time to make one. Use whatever feels meaningful to you: candles, crystals, a small tapestry, jewelry, journals, dried flowers. This space is yours. It’s about what connects you to your practice.

I’m honored to guide you, but ultimately, your altar is a reflection of your journey.

PRO TIP:

Your altar is sacred. It's not something you show off to people. I will always tell you, it's your soul journey. If it feels correct, then by all means, do what feels best for you. I'm only here to advise.

If someone spiritual tells you you’re “not supposed” to do something, like how you set up your altar, take it with a grain of salt. (Unless it’s about cultural appropriation — that’s a whole other conversation.) The truth is, your spiritual path is yours alone. No one gets to gatekeep your journey. Around here, we trust our gut and follow intuition. 😉

This altar is all about honoring the June Solstice, when the Sun moves into Cancer, a water sign ruled by the Moon. It’s a powerful moment of transition between solar fire and lunar flow.

As you build your altar, think about what both of these energies bring to your life:

🌿 What You’ll Need:

• Poster board, corkboard, notebook page — or go digital with Canva or Pinterest. Personally, I will always use actual paper and advise all of you to do the same. Having something tangible made from your own hands holds more power. But using Pinterest or Canva is always optional for those who would rather do so. (Remember, if you read my weekly or monthly blog, you are being asked to restrain from making things perfect, were taking our manifestations and smacking them onto our vision boards, happily and light hearted) That Virgo energy is something serious 😅. I have perfectionism issues honestly a good dose of OCD. This is something I have to work on!

• Scissors, glue/tape/ thumbtacks

• Old magazines, printed affirmations, personal photos, artwork

• Markers, glitter, stickers, anything fun

• A candle (gold, orange, or white is perfect!). Personally, I will use all three and set my intentions in each one. You can take something sharp and write an affirmation word on the candle.

  • Need Candles or supplies for cheap?  The $1 store is perfect!! This isn't an expensive ritual at all and so much fun to do!!!

• Crystals (optional):

• Citrine, Carnelian, or Pyrite,Gold,tigers eye, all of these stones are for the sun ☀️ Silver, selenite, pearls, or any luminious stones for the moon 🌙 such as moonstone, opal majority of which are for sale in my shop!

• Hot cup of water (optional) we will use the chamomile tea and place in the water to let it steep.

• Your journal + a pen (I have journals for sale!!)

Physically and energetically. Light an incense, cleanse with herbs or sound, play music, and open the window. This is your sacred creative zone.

 🍯☀️🌻How I Will Begin My Ritual 🍯☀️🌻

Remember, you get to do this however you'd like. You won't do anything wrong with how you choose to do this ritual. It's all about the intention

Use whichever one of these above feels best for you or whatever you have on hand.

I will actually use most of this! I will take my small yellow candle and dress it. I'll be using my homemade banishing oil ( I have more available, if interested), which gets rid of negative energy, and what no longer serves or belongs to me. Then I'll use honey on my candle. If you don't have honey, use vanilla extract or anything you have on hand .

We do this so that all the herbs that are placed on the candle actually stick to the candle. This is why it's called dressing the candle.

After covering my yellow candle with the honey and banishing oil, I will take cedar, cinnamon, rose petals, and sunflower, sprinkling it all over the candle. Once I begin burning the candle, I will then light my cedar with the candle's flame, ground myself, and begin the ritual by writing in my journal.

🔥 Pro tip:

Burn your incense at the start of your ritual while journaling or cleansing your space. Let the smoke drift around your vision board materials, candle, and crystals to charge everything with solar energy. 🙌🏽

2. Set Your Intentions with Journaling

Take time to answer these:

• What am I ready to release from the first half of 2025?

• What do I want summer to feel like?

• Where am I craving more joy, peace, and clarity?

• What vision do I want to walk into by the end of this year?

• By this time next year, what will I have achieved?

  

3. Light a Candle & Speak Out Loud

Say your intentions out loud to activate your throat chakra and claim your energy:

“I now release all that no longer aligns with my light. I welcome joy, peace, and abundance. I trust the vision unfolding.”

4. Create Your Vision Board

Arrange your images, quotes, affirmations, and colors however you like. Follow your intuition 🥰if it feels right, it belongs!

💡 Write affirmations by HAND: “I am aligned.” “I create freely.” “My path is unfolding beautifully.” Writing your affirmations by hand creates a more powerful intention. Think of the colors you use when writing, as they all have a meaning. Be intentional with everything you do while doing a ritual.

5. Activate the Vision

Place your hands over your heart. Close your eyes and visualize the board coming to life. Feel joy, peace, and gratitude.

Then say: “It is done. I trust the path ahead. I am open to receive.”

6. Display or Save It

Hang your board somewhere visible; mine will be on my altar. For those who used Canva or Pinterest, save your digital one as a lock screen or desktop wallpaper. Doing both a digital and physical copy would be amazing manifestation work!!

🌊 Ground the Energy

Snuff out your candle (don’t blow it out — protect the intention). Drink the water you placed at the beginning to symbolically receive your intentions into your body. Eat something grounding to reconnect with the Earth and stabilise your energy.

If you can, step outside — let the air touch your skin, feel the ground beneath your feet, and keep holding the vision. Walk with it. Breathe it in. Let the manifestation begin to live within you.
